We did it! And, it is not too late to donate!
27 riders came together to support the Needham Community Council Food Pantry on Sunday, September 20th at Nobles School and raised over $20,000.
Donations will continue to be accepted in support of your favorite Team Community Council rider until Oct. 20th. Click here to view the Ride for Food webpage and locate a donation link.
The Needham Community Council announces the fall English as a 2nd Language [ESL] tutor training is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 24th. This free training session runs for 6 consecutive Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m. Participants are expected to attend all 6 sessions to complete the training.
No experience or foreign language skills are required; just a genuine interest in helping a Needham-based adult improve their English.
After completion of the training, tutors will be matched one-on-one with students from our wait list and asked for a commitment of one hour per week for at least 9 months. Support is available from experienced tutors throughout the process.
For more information contact our office at 781-444-2415 or visit the Council website at www.needhamcommunitycouncil.org to submit an application online.
