Thanksgiving & Christmas Day Dinners
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Needham and The Needham Masons, the Council co-hosts Thanksgiving Day dinner, free for any Needham resident who wishes to experience community and camaraderie with their fellow neighbors.
Needham Rotary members, volunteers from the Community Council, local schools, businesses, caring families, other community organizations and Houses of Worship, make this wonderful event possible.
For those unable to attend we have a “take-out” service delivered right to your door. If you wish to attend the dinner, need a ride, or to request home delivery, contact us at 781-444-2415 to make your reservations.
In partnership with Project Ezra at Temple Beth Shalom the Council sponsors Christmas Day dinners which will be delivered to any Needham resident’s door. Call us to request a dinner delivery.

Each Holiday season gifts bags are prepared and distributed to nursing home residents and home bound seniors. Names of recipients are supplied to us by family members, neighbors, local residents, clergy and Needham nursing homes. Our mission is to be sure that all Needham residents are remembered during the holiday season.
Bags contain some of the following items:
- Wrapped Hard Candy
- Hand & Body Lotion
- Shaving Cream/Lotion
- Small stuffed toys
- Small gift items
Local residents decorate the bags to add a festive touch: Girl Scout troops, families, birthday party guests, religious school students, etc.
Door to door deliveries also offer recipients personal visits.
We gratefully accept donations of these items year round.
Please call our office @ 781-444-2415 if you are interested in participating in this program [decorating, delivering and/or filling bags, etc.] or have someone to add to our recipient list.
