Thanks to a generous donation from The Dressing Well Charitable Foundation, the Council Thrift Shop is now partnering to provide professional wardrobe advice, shopping assistance and clothing to clients of the Council and homeless shelters in the area. Participants in this program are either entering or re-entering the work force.
Needham’s own, Mary Lou Andre, Dressing Well President and founder, and Council volunteers kicked off the program on February 10th and have met a series of clients over the past few months.
As part of the program, the clients are given a professional wardrobe consultation and shopping assistance at the Needham Community Council Thrift Shop along with a generous gift certificate to purchase clothing and accessories. The participants in this new program walk out with complete new outfits and lots of inspiration and encouragement for how to put their best foot forward in the workplace with a well-styled appearance.
Stay tuned for our fall open house on Tuesday, October 23rd to showcase this new program to the community.
