Two recent food drives helped to fill the Council Food Pantry shelves and helped us re-stock for the coming summer months.

Scouting for Food and the Postal Workers Stamp Out Hunger! are both annual events that provide many hundreds of items for Needham residents with food insecurity.
Summer is always a difficult time to keep adequate supplies available while the need for support increases. Schools are closed, families don’t have access to school lunch programs and their children are home for 3 meals a day; many families that donate regularly are away or not visiting the grocery store as often; schools and Houses of Worship that contribute food on a monthly basis are not in session and not collecting; some of the reasons food donations go down.
